Reporting to the VP Plant Management and working in collaboration with Manufacturing Engineering, being a Production and Process Engineer at Ouellet means leading productivity improvement projects, providing improvement solutions to current processes as well as providing technical support to operations.

Your responsibilities:

  • Act as technical resource person for manufacturing operations;
  • Organize and manage production flows and resources;
  • Train staff in new and existing processes;
  • Participate in change management during technological change;
  • Develop and optimize production processes to meet the organization's production, quality, safety and cost objectives.
  • Participate in the introduction of new equipment and tooling;
  • Take part in Industry 4.0 projects;
  • Participate in the analysis and deployment of plant layout projects;
  • Identify machine safety risks and take corrective action;
  • Collaborate in the introduction of new products to define manufacturing methods;
  • Provide support to production departments;

Your profile :

  • Hold a bachelor's degree in mechanical, industrial or automation engineering and be a member of the OIQ;
  • Minimum 5 years' experience;
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite;
  • Knowledge of Solid Edge or other 3D design software;
  • Knowledge of an ERP system and MRP, an asset;
  • Knowledge of metal forming, powder coating, assembly processes, automation and robotics, an asset;
  • Functional English ;
  • Team spirit and collaboration;
