What you will be doing: 

This position is primarily responsible for supervising and solving problems at the branch level. Assist with Purchasing, maintaining inventory levels, order desk and counter. You will also: 

Respond to customer questions and concerns in a timely fashion  

Lead the inside staff providing coaching and support as required 

Handle all aspects of the branch as required when the manager is absent  

Assist in all aspects of purchasing as needed for the branch, including transfer of materials from other branches.  

Responsible for all stock issues including review of count variances, review stock regularly for damaged, defective and obsolescence, watching for repetitive trends, and control the Head Office defective returns. Maintain and develop strong vendor relationships. Ensure all credits are dealt with promptly and all cash deposits are made. 

Provide exceptional customer service by handling customer orders, providing price, stock and delivery information, ensure company specials are promoted and that counter displays are neat and organized.  

Assist Branch Manager with the preparation of annual planning and budgeting. Explore avenues where the potential to increase sales exists. 

 

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE 

Post-secondary education in electrical/business 

5+ years' experience in the electrical distribution industry
