What you will be doing:

 You will be primarily responsible for growing and supporting our wire and cable business across all branches. You will manage assigned accounts and act as key contact for all activities with those accounts. You will be required to promptly address customer needs with regards to sourcing, pricing and availability of material from our preferred vendor partners.

Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers and new

prospects.

Make proactive cold calls and follow up on sales leads.

Prepare quotations and follow up as necessary.

Provide pricing and availability to our customers while working with our

preferred partners

Support Gerrie branch resources to grow their overall wire and cable

business

Provide technical, application and sales support as required. This may be

provided directly or in co-operation with our wire and cable suppliers

From time to time, a customer site visit may be required

Ensure all information in the CRM is up to date.

Build a pipeline and database of prospects for the Wire and Cable

business.

Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up, outbound

cold calls and emails.

Remain current on changes to products or code changes and educate our

sales resources to ensure we offer these to our customers and grow our

business.

Provide suggestions on inventory levels and type of products to be stocked to enable Gerrie to grow our business and better support customers.

 

What you bring to the table: 

3+ years experience in the Electrical/Wire industry is required 

Sales experience

Proven outbound calling experience

Post graduate diploma or relevant experience

Knowledge of electrical codes related to wire, cable and their installation 

Excellent verbal and written communication skills required 

Computer skills and proficiency with MS Office
