Franklin Empire Inc. is a family owned distributor providing electrical supplies for new constructions, renovations and maintenance of industrial plants and residential and commercial buildings.


The company is looking for an E-Commerce coordinator which will be based at its head office in Montreal.


Main Responsibilities:


The E-commerce coordinator is responsible for ensuring the new Franklin Empire e-commerce website is functioning in the most efficient and effective way to support the strategic objectives of the company.  The employee will be involved in the launch of the new site and also be responsible for developing and maintaining an online training program. The E-Commerce coordinator works closely with the Marketing, Operations and Sales Managers, to implement strategies to bring value to their customers and increase market share.

Feature enrichment, Development & Design:

Identifies modifications or new requirements for improvement on the website. Continually tests the site and identifies any problems. Coordinates with Operations regarding ERP needs related to e-commerce and impact on our daily operations. 

Database/Catalogue Administration:

Maintains product data in the PIM (ie: descriptions, images, data sheets, URLS, attributes), ensuring the accuracy, completeness and integrity of the database. Reviews and builds data for related, equivalent and upgraded products as well as associates common industry search terms to related product or product categories. Communicates and coordinates with data groups that Franklin Empire works with to improve data quality and provide feedback.


Responsible for developing, launching, and maintaining content on a new training portal. Participates in training internal teams and customers (in-person or online) on e-commerce. Keeps all appropriate staff up to date on changes or updates to systems as needed. Answers user questions.

Search Engine Optimization:

Reviews best practices on optimizing search engine results, determine and implements the applicable solutions to use for the company website. Conducts key word analysis on items sold at Franklin Empire and determines the appropriate tags to optimize search results.

Social Media:

Oversees all channels, source content, and establishes open channels for customer feedback and conversation. Manage weekly and monthly calendar. Writes strong and succinct copy that speaks to our audience

Other Duties:

Conducts daily audits to ensure the correct products have exposure and are merchandised properly on our website. Client data capture, analysis and segmentation. Identifies & monitors industry specific trends.


Job requirements:


  • 1-2 years of previous experience in E-Commerce
  • Knowledge of E-Commerce platform (Magento or other)
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn quickly
  • Strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills
  • Meticulousness and attention to detail
  • Great attitude, a strong team player with ability to multi-task
  • Bilingual (English & French)
  • Experience in B2B marketing or e-commerce
  • Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator
  • Knowledge of PIM solutions (Akeneo or other)
  • Knowledge of search tools (Lucent or other)
  • Experience in the electrical industry (asset)
