Inside Sales Representative

An Inside Sales Representative is responsible for successfully supporting and maintaining customers, established distributors, and agent account business through proactive order management efforts and customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Support the sale of products to a regionally defined marketplace by managing orders to facilitate the timely delivery of products to customers and distributor partners
• Manages requests daily, including phone calls, e-mails, faxes, and other forms of electronic communication
• Provides technical support to the client base to include product specifications and suggesting alternative solution
• Process requests for quote by providing pricing and product availability
• Process customer returns and claims in a timely manner and initiate corrective action if necessary
• Participate in cross-functional projects impacting the department and the organization
• Partner with regional sales managers to increase sales by managing quote requests, sales leads, product promotions and analysis of sales data
• Confers with cross-functional departments to ensure timely delivery and accurate receipt of products
• Provides back-up assistance and coverage for other teams as required
• Perform other related duties as assigned by your manager

Qualifications:

Knowledge of AS 400 Mainframe, Quoting System Databases, Query Search Systems, and Windows based system applications.

• Proficient use of Microsoft Office Systems
• Analytical, documentation, and problem solving skills
• Technical aptitude to understand product functionality, specifications and application
• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Organizational, time management, multi-tasking, and follow-up skills
• Knowledge of Wire and Cable industry a plus
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant work experience
• Minimum of two years experience in inside sales or customer service
