We are currently looking to fill a Senior Human Resources Coordinator position at our Head Office located in South Surrey. Working collaboratively with the Human Resources Manager, this full-time permanent position provides support to EBH staff in everything HR. We pride ourselves on our one-of-a-kind culture and the HR team acts as cultural ambassadors by living our corporate values and coaching others to do the same. We need someone who can assist in designing, implementing and supporting a variety of human resources initiatives that align with our current and future business needs. In this role you will…

  • Assist with the day-to-day operations of the HR department
  • Coordinate the full-cycle recruitment process
  • Coordinate the onboarding of new employees and look for improvement opportunities
  • Respond to all benefit related inquires and coordinate benefits administration with employees and benefit carriers
  • Responsibility for HR records management
  • Lead our Health & Safety initiatives and actively participate on the Health & Safety Committee
  • Create and maintain reports, resources, processes, and communications tools (handbooks, brochures, Intranet, social media posts, etc.)
  • Assist with HR projects and the development and coordination of HR program initiatives
  • Participate and collaborate in various committees as needed

What you will bring…

  • 3+ years of progressive HR experience
  • Experience with training and development initiatives
  • Tech savvy and a power user of software including MS Office, ADP Workforce Now, Halogen, Harrison
  • Solid understanding of legislation, employment standards, and OHS regulations in Western Canada
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
  • A CPHR designation and/or CPHR Candidate working towards CPHR designation is considered an asset

  • High attention to detail with strong organizational skills, problem solving skills and work ethic
  • Ability to work as part of a team or independently without immediate supervision
  • Ability to quickly change focus for urgent requests and to work under multiple time sensitive deadlines
  • Must respectfully challenge current processes and look for continuous improvement opportunities
  • Ability to remain calm and positive while responding to issues and people in difficult situations
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information and in the face of high-stress and/or ambiguous situations
  • Ability to visit branches throughout the lower mainland from time to time
