Human Resources Specialist
We are seeking an enthusiastic, passionate individual with excellent interpersonal skills to join our HR team. As the HR Specialist you will be responsible for supporting all aspects of the HR Department. This includes helping to attract, support and retain top talent; develop and interpret policies, procedures and HR programs. Help plan, administer, and coordinate human resources initiatives, activities and programs, including: recruitment, compensation, performance management, benefits, training, health and safety, and employee relations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Job postings, screen resumes, interviewing, reference checks and onboarding
- Assist in orientation program
- Assist in performance management program
- Manage training data base and assist in analyzing training needs and program design
- Ensure all legislated requirements are adhered too
- Assist in health and safety programs, WSIB and early and safe return to work initiatives
- Assist in all aspects of Employee Relations ensuring our core values are maintained
- Maintenance of employee files
Minimum Requirements:
- Must have a diploma in Human Resources Management
- CHRL certification in progress
- 3+ years Human Resources working experience, preferably in a multi-location environment
- Working knowledge of ESA/OHSA and AODA requirements
- Experience implementing and working on a complete HRMS
- Excellent attention to detail, organized, self-motivated, positive attitude
- Proficient in MS Office
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively manage confidential information
- Vehicle required to travel between Branches
