Job Summary
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Marketing and Public Relations Specialist! Reporting to the Manager – Marketing, the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a constant and consistent Public Relations pipeline to communicate S&C’s expertise to the wider industry.
Core Responsibilities
- Take the lead on continuing to develop a PR culture and strategy within Canada and on all editorial creation
- Manage PR pipeline and media attention
- Ensure all messaging is consistent and in line with S&C’s approved messaging documents which includes sales presentations, website collateral, external facing documents, and interview scripts
- Track and share analytics relating to S&C’s PR activities and maintain a PR culture
- Monitor industry news to spot new opportunities for S&C to position itself as an industry leading expert
- Contribute to the marketing strategy by creating return on objective plans, content plans, marketing messaging etc.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
- 1-4 years of work experience in a similar role
- Working knowledge of MS Office Suite and marketing communication software such as Adobe Creative Suite and Google Analytics
- Knowledge of various social networking applications
- Ability to read, understand, communicate, and critique market data and research findings
- The successful candidate must have a strategic mindset with strong organizational and time-management skills. The Marketing and Public Relations Specialist must also be a self-starter with the confidence and ability to communicate to a range of audiences.
