Administrator, Product Sections

Maternity Leave Contract until June 2020 

General Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Vice President, Standards and Regulation the incumbent is responsible for managing and facilitating the Product Section Meetings and resulting action plans  to enhance their respective product sector position in the Canadian electrical marketplace.   

Specific responsibilities 

• Developing, in conjunction with the Product Section Chairs, Co-Chairs and Vice-Chairs, meeting agendas to address section issues.
• Facilitate Product Section Meetings to ensure that they are run effectively, collaboratively and in accordance with the Electro-Federation Canada “Guidelines for the Conduct of Meetings”
• Document Section Business; Including, but not limited to, Minutes of Meetings, Decisions, Action Items, clearly identified Action Item Owners and Timing
• Manage projects as required resulting from product section minutes
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the Product Sections effectively receive the required services offered by EFC
• Keep the Vice President, Standards & Regulation appraised and engaged on significant Industry and Section related issues and opportunities  

Education and Experience Requirements

• Post-Secondary Diploma or Degree preferred; project management, C. E. T. or P.Eng. Designation a plus
• Experience in an Administrative Role
• Knowledge of the Electrical Industry and codes and standards process a plus
• An aptitude for technical products/subjects
• Strong organizational, administrative and follow-up skills
• Good computer skills; Microsoft Office, CRM Database; Conducting “On Line” meetings
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities
• Honed facilitation skills; ability to help stimulate positive discussion at Section Meetings
• A relationship and consensus builder
• Ability and availability to travel as required
• In addition to English; fluency in French is a plus, but not a pre-requisite
