To succeed in this role, you should be an excellent communicator who is able to gain the trust of our customers and help establish our reputation as a company that offers excellent customer support during all sales and after-sales procedures.

Reporting directly to the Customer Service Manager and supported by a dedicated team of customer care professionals, the Sales Support Specialist, will be responsible for:

  • Identifying customer needs and recommending the best lighting solutions for their design
  • Providing prompt, accurate and courteous responses to customers by phone, email, or chat
  • Processing all incoming orders according to product availability/lead times and delivery schedules.
  • Performing order entry and reverse entry processes
  • Providing customers with product availability, pricing information, shipping, and other customer queries
  • Responding to customer inquiries; escalating to appropriate internal stakeholder(s) as required
  • Researching delivery and/or invoicing discrepancies as well as quality concerns; working with the customer on a resolution
  • Collaborating with our Sales, Warehouse and Production teams to meet project deliverables
  • Following up with customers to ensure their needs have been met and are satisfied at the end of the transaction

Requirements

  • 3+ years of customer service-related experience
  • Post-secondary education is preferred.
  • Strong skills in Office Suite (Word, Excel) and prior exposure to inventory management systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task using good judgement to exceed customer expectations.
  • Capacity to stay calm under pressure to achieve optimal results.
  • Shows resilience in a fast paced ever changing environment.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills demonstrated through a variety of mediums. including, in-person, over the phone, e-mail, and on-line chats.
  • Willing to ask questions to find the answers you need.
  • Passionate learner and interested in learning more about lighting technology and applications.
  • Strong relational and influential skills.
  • Strong problem identification and resolution skill.
  • Positive team attitude and ability to prioritize your work.
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
