Priority Wire and Cable is a premiere and growing supplier of wire & cable exclusively serving Electrical Distributors.  We ship throughout Canada from our 100,000+ sq. ft. warehouse and office located in Mississauga, just across from the airport. 

Role Summary

Increase sales throughout Canada with responsibility for our Inside Sales Team, Rep network, Distributor sales channel and pricing.  Candidate must have experience selling commodity products to Distributors.  Potential opportunity to take over as Director with P&L responsibility within one to three years.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage our experienced Inside Sales Team and expand as business demands.
  • Direct contact with key Distributor personnel to build relationships and grow business.
  • Manage and travel with our Rep network throughout the county. Position will require about 30% travel away from home and weekly travel throughout the GTA area. 
  • Manage pricing based on local levels, support and freight costs.
  • Track large projects and quotes.
  • Insure contractors are aware of our brand and support projects through Distribution as needed.
  • Develop promotions and attend trade shows (Marketing activities) .
  • Support Buying Groups and manage Distributor programs.
  • Suggest inventory levels and new products.

Qualifications/Desired Characteristics:

  • Past experience selling wire and cable or commodity products.
  • Experience in the Electrical Distribution Market.
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Understanding of MS Excel, Access & PowerPoint.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Open-minded self-starter with the ability to adapt, improvise and problem solve
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a close knit office environment.
  • Commercial experience understanding, such as cost analysis, internal and external benchmarking, market trend analysis, competitor pricing.
  • Bi-lingual in English and French a plus.
