Inside Sales Representative (Electrical - Industrial/OEM)

Reporting to the Inside Sales Supervisor, the responsibilities of the position include:

  • Responding to customer requests (via phone and email)
  • Evaluating and understanding the needs and requirements of customers
  • Proposing possible solutions and alternatives to the customers’ requests/issues
  • Preparing "day-to-day" value quotes 
  • Processing orders
  • Working as a team with the other inside salesmen as well as the quotations department
  • Facilitating the communication between the customer, the outside sales representative, technicians and the manufacturers’ representatives
  • Promoting (above all) the products of our manufacturers
  • Finding and proposing alternative products to the competition
  • Making sure that every form of contact with the customer is a positive experience while always focusing on the long term loyalty of the customer

 Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Must have good knowledge base of industrial electrical product lines (T&B, Hubbell, Wieland, Sprecher and Schuh, Eaton, Mersen, Sylvania, Omron - or equivalent lines)
  • 3-5 years experience in sales of electrical industrial products
  • Knowledge of motor control products (automation a plus)
  • Proficient at communicating ideas and suggestions
  • Pro-activity is essential
  • Ability to anticipate problems and fix them
  • Ability to adapt to a demanding customer base
  • Ability to work as a team
  • Positive attitude and attention to detail

Language of work: French (70%) English (30%)

Location: Ville St-Laurent (Montreal)

40 hours/week   8:00am to 5:00pm (flexible)
