Services Business Development Manager

DESCRIPTION OF THE ROLE:

The Services Business Development Manager (SBDM) is responsible for delivering accelerated sales growth in consulting business, services, and associated automation hardware and software portfolio. In this role you will be responsible for the strategy and execution in an established and strong customer base.

The SBDM understands customers’ business drivers and desired business outcomes, combines the capabilities of Electrozad, key vendors and partners, to simplifying the customers’ buying journey.

A strong background in consultative sales, new business development, partnering, collaboration, and influence is desired.

POSITION SUMMARY:

New Business Development (Consulting/Professional Services)

  • Develop and execute an annual commercial sales strategy and plan, meet or exceed growth targets.
  • Develop a sphere of relationships with targeted accounts, including all appropriate decision makers/stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Account Representatives to develop account strategies and buying journey-maps.
  • Understand market focused plan and capabilities of Authorized Service Provider (ASP), Rockwell Automation, key System Integrator and OEM Partners and additional vendors to best deliver value to customers.
  • Support development of additional vendor service delivery capabilities based on observed customer business needs.
  • Act as subject matter expert and resource for Industrial Sales team.
  • Support Marketing efforts with branding, strategy and content.
  • Participate in appropriate professional organizations and industry events to exhibit thought leadership, develop new partnerships and promote capabilities.

Services (Product Support, Asset Management, Training, Remote Support, Modernization)

  • Act as a technical and commercial focal point for customers, Electrozad, and Rockwell Automation.
  • Grow the sales of products and services above market levels.
  • Introduce new products and services to Electrozad sales personnel, including product training, use of commercial programs and sales tools, and target account identification.
  • Lead and support the organization to proactively implement the business plan.
  • Increase customer awareness of the Allen-Bradley brand and related product and service capabilities through local Electrozad programs.
  • Achieve and maintain necessary technical and commercial competencies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • A College Diploma/University Degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of sales experience in the Industrial Automation, IT or Software fields.
  • Demonstrated success in new business development and partnership management.
  • Proven Leadership skills to motivate and influence direct and indirect reports to embrace new concepts and solutions.
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal, organizational and written/verbal communication skills with a versatility to span engagement from all levels within accounts.
  • Self-motivated and self-managed towards objectives.
  • Previous experience working as part of a large, multi-disciplinary team.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple partner relationships while achieving target outcomes.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Exposure to Industrial IT, Analytics and IIoT Platforms, Industrial Control Systems including PLC, HMI/SCADA, plant historian, motor control, motion control, etc. technology and applications (Rockwell Automation or comparable platforms).

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Flexibility for travel is required daily within Southwestern Ontario and periodically throughout the United States for training and commercial events.
