Opportunity: Eastern Canadian Sales Manager

Dura-Line Canada is the largest North American manufacturer of High Density Polyethylene conduit for the telecommunication market. We are looking for a candidate to manage sales in Eastern Canada (Ontario and East) for our Telecommunication and Electrical business units. The Eastern Canadian Sales Manager will report directly to the Canadian Director of Sales, be a key part of our management team and work towards the successful implementation of our 3-year, 5-year and 10-year strategic plans.

 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Manage territory budgets and sales forecasts
  • Work with In-Place manufacturer representatives
  • Motivate and drive results
  • Assist in setting monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals/targets
  • Monitor sales activity in Eastern Canada
  • Actively participate in monthly sales reviews. Present monthly results to management with emphasis on variance, opportunities and requirements
  • Implement and drive the company’s revenue growth targets
  • Work with customers and end users to drive sales and maximize territory opportunities
  • Assist Sales Management in setting sales goals and targets on an ongoing basis
  • Attend all sales meetings as requested
  • Participate in all required industry trade shows
  • Provide sales and marketing feedback
  • EDUCATIONAL AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Knowledge & Abilities:
  •  
  • Minimum eight years prior experience in sales or sales management position, manufacturing sales is preferable
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian HDPE Conduit, Telecommunication or Electrical Industry is an asset
  • Experience in working with and performing to sales budgets and targets
  • Excellent written/verbal communication (Bilingual English/French) and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in MS Office, working knowledge of excel
  • Ability to work independently and successfully in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong time-management, project management, task prioritization, and organizational skills
  • Ability to interact with all departments and levels of the organization
  • Self-motivated, detail oriented, and able to multitask
  • Willing to travel as required
  • Additional: Benefits (health, dental, vision) at no cost to the employee after 3 months and Pension plan after one year included, salary is dependent on experience.
