We currently have an outstanding opportunity in our Richmond, BC location for an Accounting Specialist to join ECS Holdings! Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Accounting Specialist will be a valuable resource, working on the full accounting cycle for ALL holding companies. This is an exceptional opportunity for a well-rounded intermediate level Accounting professional, looking to further develop in role and make a significant contribution.

What You Will Do:

Review monthly GL reconciliation including all major balance sheet accounts (A/R, A/P, fixed assets, prepaids)
Prepare weekly bank Reconciliation
Prepare, direct and coordinate Company financial reporting
Prepare draft financial statements
Review expense coding for employee reimbursements, utilities, and direct bill payments
Reviews report and expenses
Reviews monthly sales tax returns (GST, PST)
Completes assigned year end working papers
Manage financial audit and provide information for and assistant to external auditor
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

What Will You Bring:

University degree preferably in Business/Accounting
3+ years of financial close and reporting experience
Strong knowledge of finance and accounting including GAAP
Experience with automated financial and accounting reporting systems
Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and adaptable to changing priorities
Efficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Access
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Great attention to detail
Effective communication skills
