We currently have an outstanding opportunity in either our Edmonton or Calgary locations for an energetic, experienced collaborator as an Outside Sales Representative.  The Outside Sales Representative will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new and existing sales opportunities in their assigned territory and will report to the Branch Manager.

What Your Day May Look Like:

  • Co-ordinating, assisting and developing sales activity with Inside Sales Representatives.
  • Working with management in research and development of new products and markets.
  • Providing the Branch Manager with detailed information of all market related information obtained.
  • Attending sales training programs (when available).
  • Participating in industry trade shows as required.
  • Identifying and pursuing sales opportunities; must be able to identify potential customers in their assigned territory and actively pursue to make a sale. This involves researching customers, networking, cold-calling and making in-person visits to introduce products or services.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with customers.
  • Tracking the sales pipeline; including identifying potential customers, scheduling follow-up visits and closing deals.
  • Delivering excellent customer service; dedication to provide customer service both before and after a sale.

What You Will Need to Succeed:

  • Robust interpersonal and communication skills to effectively communicate the benefits of products or services.
  • Astute knowledge of electrical wire/cables and related products.
  • Ultra organized with an ability to manage time effectively.
  • Strong negotiation and closing aptitudes.
  • Proficiency in CRM software or sales tracking tools.
  • Relationship building, maintaining and sustaining a client base.
  • Two (2) years minimum in a similar role.
