What you will be doing

This position is responsible for the safe delivery of Gerrie Electric products in and around the driver’s branch territory.    

DRIVER ACTIVITIES

Driving to deliver products within and around branch territory. 

Operate company vehicles in a safe manner

Careful loading and unloading of product

Maintain customer relationships by treating customers in a courteous manner

Other related duties as assigned 

Transporting goods safely to customers, following the delivery instructions provided by company dispatchers

Conducting circle check of designated truck before each shift

Obtaining customers; signatures after each delivery to confirm receipt of the correct goods, in the correct quantity

Promptly notifying dispatch of any delivery issues, cargo damages, and vehicle breakdowns 

COMMUNICATION

Communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing. 

QUALITY

Understand and adhere to ISO policies and procedures. 

Perform continuous evaluation, development and execution of policies and programs.  

PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT 

Participate in conferences, seminars, and other educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintain and participate in professional networks to enhance your knowledge and skills. 

Participates on committees and special projects as requested. 

What you bring to the table

High school diploma or GED is preferred

Must have a valid DZ driver’s license (proven experience as a DZ driver is an asset)

Must have a clean driver’s abstract with strong knowledge of road safety regulations

The ability to drive in difficult weather conditions, utilize GPS devices and road maps. 

Excellent organizational, time management, problem-solving, and communication skills

Due to insurance purposes, must be 25 years of age or older

Knowledge and ability to navigate within and around branch territory
