Position Summary: This is a full-time Sales position in greater Toronto area. Day-to-day functions will include performing sales, presentations and relationship building with established customers, promoting our products and services. Communicating with Electrical Distributors, Electrical Contractors, and other customers. You will also be required to provide product training and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales and Business Development:
    • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the assigned territory. 
    • Developing and implementing sales strategies to achieve targets. 
    • Conducting presentations, demos, and product showcases to potential and existing clients. 
    • Negotiating contracts and closing deals. 
  • Customer Relationship Management:
    • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients. 
    • Understanding customer needs and providing tailored solutions. 
    • Responding to inquiries and addressing customer concerns. 
    • Providing ongoing support to ensure customer satisfaction. 
  • Territory Management:
    • Analyzing market trends and identifying potential customers. 
    • Planning and executing sales activities within the territory. 
    • Monitoring and reporting on sales performance. 
    • Maintaining accurate sales records and customer databases. 
  • Other Duties:
    • Collaborating with other departments, such as product, marketing and customer service. 
    • Staying up-to-date on industry trends and competitor activities. 
    • Participating in tradeshows, sales meetings and training programs. 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Sales Experience: 3-5 years of experience in the Electrical Lighting field with strong sales skills including influencing, persuasion, negotiation, and closing techniques.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Both written and verbal, to effectively interact with customers and colleagues. 
  • Relationship Building Skills: Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with clients. 
  • Organizational and Time Management Skills: To effectively manage a territory and meet deadlines. 
  • Product Knowledge: Thorough understanding of the company's products or services and ability to provide product training to customers.
  • Customer Service Skills: Ability to address customer needs and resolve issues. 
  • Analytical Skills: To analyze market trends and sales performance. 
  • Self-Motivation and Drive: To achieve sales targets and stay motivated. 
  • Ability to Work Independently: To manage a territory and make decisions with minimal supervision. 
  • Bachelor’s degree: Degree in Business, Sales or related areas is a plus.
