Compensation: Hourly-based

Position Overview

Heat-Line is seeking an Inside Sales Representative – Electrical Market to support the company’s growing presence within Canada’s electrical wholesale and contractor channels. This position plays a key role in managing daily customer inquiries, preparing quotations, and providing responsive, professional service to distributors, contractors, and field representatives.

The ideal candidate will bring familiarity with the Canadian electrical wholesaler market, a solid understanding of electrical products or related systems, and a strong commitment to delivering superior customer support. An electrical background, whether through education or hands-on industry experience, is considered a strong asset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to inquiries from electrical wholesalers, contractors, and representative partners, ensuring professional and accurate communication.
  • Prepare quotations, process orders, and manage follow-up to maintain outstanding customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with external representatives and internal departments to ensure efficient communication and order fulfillment.
  • Maintain accurate records of quotations, pricing, and account activities within the CRM system.
  • Support preparation and distribution of sales materials, technical documentation, and price lists.
  • Assist customers with basic product selection, specifications, and application inquiries (training provided).
  • Work collaboratively with the Technical Support team to ensure consistent service quality.
  • Participate in sales meetings, training sessions, and product knowledge initiatives as required.

Candidate Profile

  • 2–5 years of experience in inside sales, customer service, or account coordination, preferably within the electrical wholesale or construction supply industries.
  • Familiarity with Canadian electrical distributor networks (e.g., AD, EFC member groups) is an asset.
  • Strong communication, multitasking, and organizational abilities.
  • Comfort interpreting basic technical information or drawings related to electrical or mechanical systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and CRM systems (NetSuite experience an asset).
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of accountability; able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset.
