ACCOUNT MANAGER

Western Canada | Outside Sales

About the company and the role

Composite Power Group has operated as an electrical utility sales representative for over 45 years. Our sales team takes the initiative to connect the suppliers in our portfolio with companies building the grid. We focus on the sale of equipment for high-voltage distribution lines, transmission lines, and substations, and we work with industry-leading suppliers that are committed to innovation and to doing business in Canada.

We are a growing company with a national presence and manage a large sales portfolio. We offer our team independence and autonomy in decision-making to develop long-term, trust-based partnerships with our customers and suppliers.

We are looking for a highly motivated Account Manager to join our team in Alberta, with a preference for the Greater Calgary Area. The role is ideal for individuals who can blend sales and business development skills with knowledge of power systems. Top performers in our business build and grow strong customer relationships by facilitating and consulting with customers on the specification and sale of high-voltage electrical equipment. Top performers can also execute long-cycle sales plans that require connecting with and influencing key decision-makers across our customers’ organizations, including senior managers, procurement teams, engineers, and field operations staff.
