Position Description

As a Regional Switchgear Quotation Specialist, you will be responsible for quoting industrial and commercial construction projects from bid stage to project award. Including review of drawings and RFQ packages, define BOM, prepare quotation, negotiation with suppliers and agents, quotation submittal, project closing negotiation and kick-off meeting to transfer the proposal to order entry/project coordination.

• Work closely with sales team, suppliers and agents to review RFQ packages, project requirement concerns and scope of work in order to build a strong value added proposal. Proposals will include work of scope, BOM, price, costs, commercial terms and all technical documents.
• Review full-scale project plans and associated communications documents from beginning to project award.
• Provide sales and technical support to assist in quotation and development of new business opportunities (projects, analysis and design)
• Develop/Maintain relationships with cross- functional Business Units/Channel Partners/Sales Team.
• Attend pre-bid meetings for quotes and projects.

Job Requirements

• Ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in a project quotation role
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience with a minimum of 5 years’ experience including expertise in electrical switchgear
• Confidence in the ability to provide value to the field sales organization, acting as a business developer, sales resource, and team player.
• Self-motivated, strong work ethic, and excellent communications skills along with proven relationship building skills
• Strong negotiation and sales skill sets.
• Knowledgeable of electrical power distribution system analysis (Arc Flash, Time Current Coordination, Short Circuit, Load Flow, Harmonic Analysis…etc.)
• Knowledgeable of 3 phase electrical power distribution system design and turnkey installation - hospital, data center, industrial, water treatment or oil & gas preferred
• Knowledgeable of Microsoft Office suite of products, Excel proficiency is a must
