Process Solutions Business Development Manager

Electrozad Supply is the largest independently Canadian owned and operated electrical wholesale distributor in Southwestern Ontario. The Process Solutions Business Development Manager is responsible for developing and executing Electrozad’s annual business strategy and achieve accelerated growth in the Process Solution space with Rockwell Automation’s DCS platform, Endress+Hauser and adjacent partner offerings. Responsible for building distributor process offering and defining any key gaps to delivering comprehensive Process Solutions.  As a self starter you’ll lead the Disciplined Outcome Based Sales Process within our territory, while ensuring that the right partner is involved to enable successful solution deployment.


  • Annual growth planning and execution including targets, competency, and future investments
  • Proactively generate opportunities in the Process Solutions Business, assess those opportunity’s requirements, define comprehensive solutions including hardware/software/services, develop proposals and present to customer decision makers
  • Maintain and manage funnel of opportunities using modern CRM packages
  • Lead overall business focus and performance around overall Process business
  • Serve as domain expert around Process business and continuously build competency within your team and supporting teams
  • Manage complexity and adaptable to change
  • Responsible for delivering accelerated sales growth in the Process Solutions Business.
  • Manages business with discipline and balance stakeholder commitments
  • Recognition of what is best for customer and business needs
  • Lead the business development and understand the technical acumen of the Process industry.
  • Translate customer's industrial business drivers into automation solutions and articulate unique value of solution portfolio.
  • Market development, program execution experience, and ability to manage multiple partner relationships while achieving target outcomes.
  • Strong determination and a self starter. Work both independently and with team members.

Minimum qualification requirements:

  • 4-year degree or equivalent professional experience in technical disciplines is required.
  • 3+ years Industrial Process/DCS industry experience would be an asset
  • Proficiency in proactive opportunity generation and market development would be an advantage
  • Demonstrated in depth knowledge & understanding of Process Applications, Process Industry Standards & Terminology
  • Possess the technical ability to define suitable Instrumentation, Process Safety, Control and Software Systems and supportive services
  • PlantPAx and/or competitive offerings
  • Exposure to all levels and connectivity of the Purdue Model (Field Devices to ERP).Platforms including but not limited to : Instrumentation, PLC, DCS Controllers, HMI/SCADA, Server Architectures, Plant Historian, APC, Motor Control, Intelligent Power, Analytics, IIoT, and Cloud Automation.
