Weidmuller is a leading manufacturer of electronic and electrical connectivity solutions for the transmission of power, data, and control signals in industrial environments.

We currently have an opening at our Markham, ON headquarters for a motivated Customer Service Representative to join our team. As a Customer Service Representative, you will represent Weidmuller to our customers and our Outside Sales team as the main point of contact including, but not limited to, providing product information, order processing, and maintenance, quote maintenance, and general inquiries. You will also communicate and coordinate activities with others to meet customer requests and expectations in a timely manner in accordance with the company policies and procedures.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Responsible for product knowledge to answer customer questions
  • Greet customers and create rapport
  • Understanding customer needs and identifying sales opportunities
  • Responsible for closing deals
  • Answering customer questions and sending additional information via email
  • Keeping up with product and service information and updates
  • Responsible for customer follow-up
  • Achieve monthly sales quotas
  • Use excellent oral communication and best practices in customer service when interacting with customers
  • Checking pricing, inventory stock, discounts, customer information/location, and shipping instructions
  • Coordinate pricing of special items
  • Enter and edit orders received for price and nomenclature
  • Investigates and resolves customer problems with deliveries
  • Issues Return Goods Authorizations and processes credit memos as requested by customers
  • Composes routine correspondence to the outside sales force and/or customers
  • Manages quotations data once information is given by Sales Reps
  • Attend all training sessions provided locally or globally that are determined to be mandatory by management
  • Display individual initiative in performing all of the above job responsibilities and keep management informed
  • Other tasks/duties as determined by management.

 

Qualifications/Skills

  • 3+ years of experience in a sales environment
  • Possess excellent customer service skills
  • Must be knowledgeable of company products
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Ability to establish rapport and close sales
  • Embody a personal philosophy of continuous improvement
  • SAP knowledge is an asset
