PROJECT COORDINATOR required for Southern Ontario

Intralec Electrical Products is a leading manufacturer’s representative in the electrical and mechanical sector, operating in southern Ontario. Intralec is the agent for Eaton Crouse Hinds, Eaton B-Line, Delta Transformers, Mersen, Intermatic, and many others. Our roll as a company is to represent manufacturers in the Ontario marketplace, executing various responsibilities that includes sales, project quotations and management, technical support, customer service and product introduction and promotion. We work closely with electrical and mechanical distributors, contractors, engineering firms and end customers.

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Project Coordinator to join our team. This is a dynamic roll that requires exceptional organizational abilities, excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team setting. The Project Coordinator position will have a combined role of working with our Project Managers for all post-order management along with collaborating with our inside and outside sales teams to increase our success on project bids. This is a position that will require constant communication with both our quotations teams and our represented manufacturers.

Responsibilities

  • Production Coordination:  Monitor ongoing progress of projects and coordinate internal resources, communication, and information to meet milestones.
  • Manufacturer & Distributor Liaison:  Act as the primary point of contact for represented manufacturers, distributors and contractors to communicate requirements, scope, and objectives.
  • Documentation Management:  Maintain accurate project files, including BOM spreadsheets, approval drawings, design revisions, purchase orders, and meeting minutes.
  • Schedule & Project Tracking:  Update project timelines, track and communicate changes to leadtimes and report progress or potential risks to project management.
  • Team Communication:  Work with Intralec Project Management to establish plans and strategies for the coordination of existing projects.
  • Conflict Resolution:  Solve issues that arise during the project lifecycle, such as material delays or resource bottlenecks.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years experience in the electrical industry.
  • 1 – 3 years experience in a project support or project coordination roll.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
  • Must be a team player with strong organizational and analytical abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and relevant project management software
