Job Summary - Quotation Specialist
The Quotation Specialist will provide support to the Sales and Project Group by managing requests for quotations, preparing comprehensive quote packages, processing orders, and maintaining customer accounts. This role is responsible for coordinating and preparing large, complex quotation packages and will work directly with key customers, including direct customer interaction on an as-needed basis.
Job Duties
Support and assist the Project Group with requests for quotations, quote packages, order processing, and account maintenance.
Review request-for-quotation (RFQ) documentation to identify scope, specifications, and required details.
Manage and prepare large and complex quotation and proposal packages for the Sales and Major Projects Group.
Coordinate and participate in proposal planning sessions, ensuring all required stakeholders are engaged.
Liaise with the Management Team to ensure alignment on strategy, scope, and commercial objectives.
Analyze opportunities, costs, and risks throughout the entire bid and proposal management process.
Work closely with the Sales or Project Group lead to develop and execute a comprehensive proposal plan.
Ensure all proposals and quotations are completed accurately and submitted within required deadlines.
Maintain effective communication with internal teams, vendors, and customers throughout the quotation and proposal process.
Participate in customer meetings as required and provide ongoing support for large customer accounts.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
Post-secondary education from a technical program (Electrical, Mechanical discipline) or equivalent experience.
Previous sales experience in the electrical industry.
Knowledge of Electrical, Automation and Instrumentation products.
Excellent English communication skills (oral and written) with the ability to communicate effectively to key stakeholders.
Ability to handle difficult situations with diplomacy and respect.
Ability to set and attain goals clearly and effectively.
Detail oriented with superior organizational skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of proprietary and sensitive business information.
Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Strong computer skills, including ability to work with Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel.
Working Conditions
Operation of desktop computer and peripherals.
Interaction with customers/clients, and the public at large.
High levels of stress and pressure.
