Reporting directly to the President, the Branch Manager role provides general oversight for, and is responsible for the day-to-day operation of our SE Calgary branch and assigned staff in our young and fast growing branch.
The ideal candidate has an entrepreneurial spirit and is capable of wearing many hats including customer service, sales, quotations and warehouse operations.
Electrical knowledge, specifically in lighting, is a strong asset.
1. Leadership
• Schedule, assign, provide direction, monitor, and evaluate work of assigned staff
• Ensure staff have training, materials, resources to do their work in a clean, safe work environment
• Maintain an open and respectful relationship with all employees, resolve staff-related issues
• Champion and facilitate a culture of accountability, team work, and harmony amongst staff
• Ensure work is completed in accordance with CSC LED’s policies
2. Oversee Warehouse Shipping/Receiving
• Assist warehouse staff and Logistics Manager to find courier companies with best prices/services
• Assist warehouse staff to pick and ship customer orders, receive containers and branch transfers, conduct cycle counts, when required
• Remain familiar with all shipping and receiving procedures in order to fulfil warehouse shipper and receiver duties when the warehouse associate(s) is sick, on vacation, etc
• Ensure the mobile showroom has regular maintenance appointments, etc
• Ensure all equipment is maintained, ie fork lift, etc. and ensure certification and training is up to date
3. Account Management (technical training provided)
• Ensure customer inquiries are handled in a timely manner
• Support the National Sales Manager and regional sales agents to utilize sales data to manage, develop, and serve existing accounts to meet regional goals
• Find ways to improve and develop regional sales and support
• With assistance from the Sales Manager and local agents, analyze performance of all relevant accounts. Identify market trends and new opportunities
• Coordinate with the technical team to answer technical queries and provide lighting layouts
Requirements:
• 3-5 years experience in a branch management capacity, preferably in the electrical wholesale industry
• Electrical and/or lighting knowledge an asset
• Proven leadership skills
• Excellent computer and communication skills
• Driver's license is required
• Team player who is motivated and looking for a chance to grow their career
