We currently have an outstanding opportunity in our Calgary, Alberta location for a highly motivated team player as a Warehouse Manager.  The Warehouse Manager will manage the warehouse operations, facilities and warehouse personnel.

What Your Day May Look Like:

  • Leading the warehouse personnel and ensuring adequate training for all warehouse staff.
  • Creating a safe working environment for all warehouse personnel and looking after their well-being.
  • Communicating with Sales and other departments to ensure on-time delivery of products to our customers.
  • Maintaining Non-conformances below 2% of total shipments.
  • Ensuring receipt of incoming shipments are completed in a timely fashion including associated paperwork.
  • Responsible for coordinating return of products (including reels) to suppliers and the record keeping of such shipments.
  • Responsible for inventory discrepancies and adjustments.
  • In charge of warehouse supplies procurement.
  • Arranging maintenance of machinery in a timely manner to ensure the least machine downtime.
  • Maintaining a safe and efficient warehouse.
  • Assists Branch Manager with performance assessments.
  • Assist and participate in the preparation and completion of inventory counts.
  • maintaining a clean and safe working environment for self and others.
  • Performing safety inspections.
  • Inventory Audit responsibilities.
  • Communicating with the Payroll department (ADP entry).
  • HR duties for your direct reports such as onboarding, training, performance evaluation etc.
  • Cutting and picking of orders when necessary.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

What You Will Need to Succeed:

  • Preferably two (2) years technical or junior college degree.
  • Five (5) years broad warehouse/distribution experience.
  • Supervisory/manager experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to lead a team and work alongside your team.
  • Knowledge of inventory control and warehousing procedures.
  • Ability to manage an inventory system.
  • Must be able to operate a forklift.
  • Ability to assign and direct the work of employees.
  • Be aware of your surroundings including mental, physical, visual and environmental conditions.

Salary Range:  $60 - 65k
