What you will be doing

Create, review, revise & communicate Quality Management Processes for Gerrie Electric.

QUALITY RECORD MAINTENANCE

Maintain the Quality Records including Branch Inspections, Staff Meeting Minutes, ISO Internal Audit

Records, Audit Schedules and Questions, CA/PA/CC Meeting Minutes, Management Review.

Create/write and maintain the Procedure, Policy, and Quality Manuals, with approval from the EVP Operations, and/or Co-President &CEO and/or CFO, Directors, and to issue them in a controlled manner which is accessible and understandable to all employees.  

HR Sections of the Policy Manual changes must be initiated by the Director of HR or Executive. 

OPERATIONAL, TECHNOLOGIES AND ERP SUPPORT

Full competencies on all writing and enhancing operating procedures, lean mapping processes, process flow development & mapping, policies, & forms and work instructions. 

Handling incoming staff  inquiries and troubleshooting, problem solving, testing, for operating procedures of the company ERP system. 

Support staff on implementation of new technology tools for process enhancements (i.e. ERP system, RF guns, printers, Microsoft suite)

Management of new documentation, testing of ERP changes, enhancements and upgrades

Branch Renovations and new acquisitions: Floor plans (design locations as per procedures), bin location set up in the Location Master in JDE (with IT support for uploading), Inventory moves in JDE (with IT support) to ensure consistency in all locations.

ISO/ QUALITY CORDINATOR

Ensure the Quality System and Manual adequately reflects the requirements of the ISO guidelines and look for ways to improve our Quality System 

Maintain and implement new standards as required of ISO Certification

Ensure the branches adhere to the Quality System and Manual including the use and control the Corrective Actions

Schedule and conduct internal audits and Branch Inspections and also manage the external audits, review findings, log and follow up on any identified non conformances and needs improvements, prepare and maintain summary reports and report out to Leadership 

CUSTOMER INFORMATION REQUESTS

Respond in a timely manner to all ISO Surveys and Questionnaires.

Respond in a timely manner to requests, including but not limited to CUSMA, Conflict Minerals, REACH, RoHS

Log ISO registered customer complaints, work with staff to complete root cause, action plans. 

TEAMWORK AND COLLABORATION

Create and maintain a team atmosphere and ensure employee concerns are resolved promptly.  

COMMUNICATION

Communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing. 

PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT 

Participate in conferences, seminars, and other educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintain and participate in professional networks to enhance your knowledge and skills. 

Participate on committees and special projects as requested. 

What you bring to the table

Bachelor’s degree or College Diploma in a related field.

Ability to analyze processes and recommend areas for continuous improvement. 

5 Years experience as a lead ISO auditor and experience in managing external audits by a 3rd party.

Knowledge of and experience in Kaizen events and Lean 6 Sigma.

Strong operational acumen and support 

Experience with Quality systems and manuals ensuring they adequately reflect the requirements of the ISO guidelines.

Previous distribution operations experience an asset.

Troubleshooting, problem solving, testing, procedures writing for company ERP experience.

Experience with adult learning/ adult learning principles. 

Excellent knowledge of adult learning theories, learning designed and delivery, and capability development. 

Previous ISO Certification Environment and responsibility.

Previous experience in managing External Audits by 3rd Party. 

Previous management of maintenance of Quality Records ISO Auditor qualification 

Collaborative and able to effectively liaise with various subject matter experts and clients. 

Proven project management skills, with the ability to work under strict time and production deadlines while producing quality deliverables. 

Strong time management, self-management. 

Ability to create/write and maintain procedures, process flows, Policy Manual, Forms and Quality Manual in a consistent manner which is easy to read and understand.

Leadership skills to ensure that all ISO Standards as outlined by the Executive and/or Director of HR and Directors of Operations are realized.
