  • We are currently seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Account Manager to join our team in Eastern Canada. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting business development in the province of Quebec and the Atlantic Provinces. In this role, you will have the opportunity to use and develop your technical knowledge of 25 to 800 kV Transmission and Distribution network equipment, as well as your business development skills. We offer our team members coaching, training, and autonomy in their work.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop business with targeted customers by participating in the entire business cycle, from promotion to bidding and contract management.
  • Collaborate with internal sales resources to manage customer requests, such as technical inquiries, and requests for quotes and proposals.
  • Prepare proposals and/or manage contracts for larger offers, ensuring customer satisfaction and the company's interests.
  • Establish long-term relationships of cooperation and trust with customers, manufacturing partners, and other team members.
  • Solve technical and commercial problems with the support of suppliers and/or other team members.
  • Understand market prices, competition, and the competitive environment.
  • Follow up on submitted quotes and proposals and negotiate prices if necessary.
  • Contribute to a winning team environment through personal actions and commitment to company values.

Qualifications:

  • The candidate must have a minimum of 7 years of experience in the field of high-voltage electrical networks, in business development, engineering or project management.
  • A Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (or a related field) or a college diploma is required.
  • The candidate must be results-oriented with excellent communication skills, be creative and able to work independently.
  • The ability to present ideas to customers effectively is a crucial skill.
  • Knowledge of estimating and bid preparation is an asset.
  • Familiarity with drawings, bills of material, specifications and standards is an asset.
  • Contacts in the field of electrical power transmission and distribution are a plus.
  • The candidate must have a proven track record of providing superior sales service and representing the company's interests.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in both French and English are required.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software is a must, and experience with CRM software is an asset.
  • The employee must have a home office in Quebec to work. Occasional office meetings are required.

Position type: permanent, full-time.

Location: part remote, part Metro Montreal.

Annual salary: $90,000.00 to $130,000.00, depending on training and experience.

Bonus: 15% to 40% of annual salary

Working hours: 37.5 hours/week, Monday to Friday

  • This is a hybrid-remote position. While you will be performing your duties from your home office for the most part, you will need to be able to meet the sales team, other partners and our customers in our Montreal office or in our sales territory, in-person, regularly. Therefore, we only accept candidates who currently reside in Eastern Canada, preferably in the Metro Montreal area.
  • This is a sales position in the electrical industry for an experienced candidate. Since this is not an entry-level position, previous experience in the field, and an understanding of the market and the sales channel is a must.
  • This is a bilingual position. Written and spoken fluency in both English and French are required to effectively communicate with coworkers, partners and customers alike.
