Assembler
Position Type: P ermanent – Full Time
Department: Engineered Products: Shunt Trip, Enclosed Disconnect Switches, Breaker Panels
Location: Mississauga
RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Assembler will aid in the fabrication and maintenance of component parts and products.
-Use hand tools to assemble and wire electrical components.
-Use power tools and equipment for drilling, tapping and cutting of products.
-Interpret documents, such as drawings or other verbal or written instructions.
-Work with other members of the department and follow day to day procedures.
-Identify defective items and handle according to established procedures.
-Comply with all warehouse safety rules and guidelines.
-Maintain work areas and equipment in clean, orderly and safe condition.
-Assist other departments as required.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
High school diploma or equivalent
Electrical experience an asset
Attention to detail
Excellent hand-eye coordination
Ability to read, write and to follow instructions
Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask.
Must be able to work well in a team
Willing to perform repetitive tasks while sitting, bending or standing for extended periods of time
Ability to lift to 30 pounds
Willingness to work overtime and on weekends as required
