As part of our Head Office sales team, the Nova Scotia Industrial Sales Representative will sell our products lines to industrial based clients in Nova Scotia, within the verticals promoted by Eddy Group. The Sales Representative will reach their business targets through the effective management of designated territories and physical visits to customer sites. This individual will also develop ongoing, profitable relationships with customers and continually maintain a professional image of the company. Integrity, passion, and in-person presentational skills are essential for this role.

What you’ll do:

  • Be responsible for leading Industrial sales for Nova Scotia with the support of an experienced sales team with five locations in Nova Scotia.
  • Cultivate lasting, profitable relationships with customers while upholding the company's professional reputation.
  • Meet weekly with your manager to review the scorecard and deliverables.
  • Travel throughout your assigned territory managing accounts/ the territory.
  • Opportunity qualification, pre-visit planning, and call control.
  • Manage your own schedule and time.

Qualifications and key competencies:

  • Post Secondary education in a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the wholesale distribution industry.
  • Ideally, you have a minimum of 5 years of direct work experience in an external sales capacity.
  • A bonus competency would be instrumentation experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to convert prospects and close deals while maintaining established sales quotas.
  • You have achieved success in qualifying opportunities involving multiple key decision-makers.
  • Deep understanding and knowledge of wholesale sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques.
  • Knowledge of cost analysis, fiscal management, and budgeting techniques.
  • A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel frequently are essential.

This is a full-time position that may be located anywhere in Nova Scotia with preference for individuals located near Eddy Group Ltd locations. Regular business hours are from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday. However, occasional work outside these hours should be expected. The successful candidate will need reliable transportation for visiting customers and attending meetings, educational seminars, and networking events as required.

Salary is based on an 8-hour day, 40-hour week.  Annual base salary will be commensurate with your experience.
