POSITION SUMMARY:

The Regional Marketing Manager is responsible for the creation and execution of regional strategic marketing plans to support the growth and expansion of Omron products and services.  The Regional Marketing Manager drives strategic development and marketing management of the region to meet internal KPI’s, attract new customers, and grow business with existing customers.  They must work with their local regional team and also with the overall Americas marketing organization.

This is a strategic position that is accountable for driving multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with critical skills in marketing, PR, branding and project management. Day-to-day tasks include managing and coordinating marketing and creative staff, leading market research efforts, and liaising with media organizations and advertising agencies.

 SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Develop product and solution strategies to optimize sales performance with cross-functional teams including sales, application engineers, strategic accounts and distribution channels.
  • Develop internal communications to ensure effective and efficient information sharing within the Omron team while functioning as the main point of contact/channel between the Americas and Canada
  • Prepare management reports, forecasts, analyses, etc. and assist with input for budgeting and forecasting as needed.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders and external agencies for the creation and execution digital marketing strategy and drive brand awareness aligned with business objectives within compliance of brand, image and trade standards.
  • Develop and implement integrated marketing campaigns including branding, direct mail, print, digital / web advertising, sales collateral materials, PR, promotions and events.
  • Coordination and creation of trade show displays, messaging, booth properties, and promotional materials.
  • Develop and implement channel specific campaigns and promotional materials. Work with key channel partners to drive marketing activities to help them to promote Omron products, solutions and services.
  • Establish event budgets, negotiate fees and book venues.
  • Responsible for marketing communications including promotions, brand development, brand consistency and regional marketing strategies.
  • Improved lead generation and implement a new overall lead process to enable tracking and funnel measurement.
  • Advocate Omron marketing messages and reinforce workflow process with technical teams
  • Engage directly with customers to capture market requirements (voice of customer) and customer feedback. Work with Sales and Product Development teams to create success stories, discover and share sales ‘best practices’, and develop marketing research documentation.
  • Represent Omron in a professional, ethical, and socially responsible manner
  • Represent the Omron Guiding Principles through personal and business interactions with employees, distributors, and colleagues

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, COMPETENCIES & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: 

  • Minimum undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Marketing or Engineering required, with emphasis on Brand Management
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience working in marketing, or experience in automation industry required
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute marketing strategies, campaigns and events.
  • Demonstrated project planning and management skills.
  • Strong marketing messaging skills in both English and Spanish
  • Energetic, aggressive, focused and a highly motivated self-starter
  • Attention to detail; open-minded, good team communication skill; with problem-solving mindset
  • Strong relationship builder and a strong personal desire to win
  • Ability to multi-task and work cross-functionally with strong organizational skills
  • Team player mentality but able to work independently as required
  • Strong interpersonal, listening, questioning and communication skills (written and oral)
  • Ability to travel (50%) both nationally and internationally
  • Proficient in current Microsoft Office, Adobe and CRM tools; preferred experience with Google, Apple, , and/or Salesforce.com
