Position: Marketing Communications Coordinator

Location: Toronto, Ontario

Employment Type: Full Time

EFC is currently seeking a Marketing Communications Coordinator to support the association’s overall program initiatives. Reporting to the VP, Marketing & Channel Development, the Coordinator will primarily be responsible for the following key tasks:

  • Maintain corporate branding guidelines to ensure that all print, web and display materials appropriately convey EFC’s visual brand
  • Act as the primary editor of EFC’s weekly bilingual e-newsletter; writing brief articles, as required; and synthesize information from relevant industry news
  • Collaborate with translation agency to ensure French content is available for all external communications in a timely manner
  • Monitor readership and engagement (open rate, click-thrus) and manage opt-ins and unsubscribes generated from email marketing campaigns
  • Work with the Marketing, Events and Regional teams to develop collateral for programs (i.e. email blasts, news releases, backgrounders, fact sheets)
  • Collaborate with EFC Corporate Sponsors to provide marketing support (email blasts, website content, etc.)
  • Support the development of promotional material, including graphic design, production and layout
  • Lead the ongoing development of EFC’s website, including design, functionality, and technical maintenance required to optimize the visitor experience

Required qualifications
The successful candidate will have:

  • Some French proficiency is an asset
  • Superior editing, verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong attention to detail with precise, accurate and clear presentation skills
  • 2-4 years’ experience in a marketing communications role
  • Degree or diploma in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or Marketing
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and experience working with social media monitoring/publishing tools, content management systems (i.e. Hootsuite, WordPress, MailChimp, Constant Contact, ClickDimensions, Google Analytics, etc.)
  • Able to work well under pressure and meet set deadlines in accordance with project strategy
