What You Will Do:
The Canadian Supply Chain Manager will report to the Canada Regional Manager with a dotted line to US Director of Purchasing. He/She will manage all aspects of supply chain for Canada Distribution Center (DC), including purchasing for the Canada DC, vendor negotiation, delivering on KPI’s, managing scrap, maintain reporting and assist the Distribution Manager and the Regional Manager on daily objectives to achieve goals.
Primary Responsibilities
Serve as the day-to-day “go-to” contact and liaison for the Canadian Region between sales, purchasing & operations
Understanding the Region’s key objectives and opportunities in order to help coordinate and facilitate actions that result in growth and profitability for both the region and company
Provide internal communications to purchasing, operations and marketing in order to drive and accomplish key actions, strategies and objectives for the Region
Work with vendors (existing and new) on product lead-times, spec, inventory and pricing in order to support Regional sales strategy and drive sales growth and profitability
Execute day-to-day procurement activities to support company-wide inventory management needs
Product system maintenance in Inventory Management System (IMS)
Identify optimized put-ups for inventory to assist operational flow
Identify scrap opportunities
Maintaining Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) reporting to manage inventory to appropriate levels and achieve turns target
Establish working relationships with existing & new vendors
Report on key inventory KPI’s
Vendor price negotiation
Develop and implement inventory control procedures and best practices
Collaborate with other functions/departments to ensure all inventory needs are met
Assist with functions including RMA processing, allocations, expediting, receiving scheduling, stock transfers, etc.
Coordinate the efficient operation of the branch by maintaining confidential branch files, ordering supplies, maintaining manuals and performing necessary clerical duties relevant to the region
What You’ll Need:
Minimum 10 years industry experience required including order fulfillment and tracking.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple work streams and prioritize multiple and conflicting tasks
Experience in inventory management
Must possess clear business writing skills and ability to convey ideas in a concise and clear way
Must be proficient in MS Office products and ERP systems
A calm, level-headed demeanor and positive attitude when dealing with stressful situations
Demonstrated team building skills with both inter-and-intra-department personnel
Proven ability to negotiate vender pricing
Bachelor’s Degree required or appropriate professional experience
