What our Marketing Specialist does:

  • Assist in the development, preparation, design and implementation of Southwire Canada’s marketing, advertising, branding, communication, sales and promotional campaigns and initiatives
  • Drive the digital strategy and execution for Southwire Canada, as it relates to “One Southwire” approach.
  • Coordinate with corporate marketing and communications team to utilize resources and gain synergies
  • Assure consistent communication of brand both internally and externally to customers, sponsors and other business partners
  • Lead efforts that support research, digital, and offline marketing and communications of Southwire’s products and solution offerings
  • Liaise with US marketing and Canadian sales team to optimize customer experience and ensure brand consistency
  • Execute and manage social media activities across multiple channels to grow customer awareness and have a deep understanding of the digital media search engines

What you’ll need to bring to the table:

  • University degree required, preferably in Business Administration, Commerce or Marketing
  • 2-4 years’ experience working directly with W&C end user customers and electrical contractors. Experience in working with distributors and resellers.
  • SAP and/or SAP Business Intelligence experience ideal or prior experience with an ERP system
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, proven business acumen, proven presentation skills, exceptional interpersonal capabilities and possess an attention to detail
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders within Southwire
  • Ability to multi-task and effectively time manage – with a variety of projects ongoing at once
  • Ability to travel, as much as 20%
  • Quick learner and adaptable to change
